General Needlepoint

I was introduced to needlepoint on TikTok in 2023. I watched a lot of TikTok and Youtube videos before ordering my first canvas. I bought my first canvas without doing much research. I ordered an 18 mesh 8" x 7” pillow design. I never finished that project because I was too overwhelmed with the large canvas size as a beginner. I ordered a smaller 4"x 4" square in a floral design and immediately became addicted to needlepoint.

Basketweave reigns superior. I also love T-Stitch as a background. I would love to try ribbon work, but I’m a bit intimidated!

I’m really not picky when it comes to threads. My go-to threads are DMC floss, Vineyard Silk, and Essentials!

About Your Designs

I had an idea for a vintage style doll. I scoured the internet for a canvas to fit my vision and didn’t find one, so I just created my own! I had so much fun with that project, I decided to design more!

Classic, fresh, and fun!

I love vintage everything. Going to antique stores is one of my favorite pastimes. In my designs I love taking a classic, vintage style and adding a modern, quirky twist. I am also inspired by pop culture and iconic, powerful women.

My Marie Antoinette series. I love the dress designs and the colors are just so fun! The diamond background pattern was inspired by the checkerboard floor in parts of Versailles.

My chinoiserie dumpster fire is such a fun and easy stitch. I have it framed in my office so I can look over at it and it helps me smile during chaotic work days!

Just have fun with it and don’t overthink things too much! The best art is always made when you decide to let go of perfection.

About You

Airplane stitching is elite, especially if it is a canvas of a fun trip you’re taking! My usual stitching spot is on the couch cuddling with my dogs.

I am a full-time photographer so I’m probably taking photographs or editing. I also enjoy reading, sourdough, and antiquing.

A cute project bag, a collapsible catch-all tray, and scissors.

I love a good documentary. True crime documentaries are always a favorite. I also watch a lot of travel YouTubers.

Not a huge podcast girl, but I love a good audiobook on occasion.

I’m always obsessed with @maryfrances_carter ceramic work! Also, @alexander_widener is a creator I recently found who shares interior design and antiquity history. He’s such a fun follow!

I’d love to make stockings for my whole family. I’m a bit ADHD so a stocking would be a huge commitment for me, haha!

One customer finished one of my Tiny Taylor canvases into a round lollipop style cake topper for her daughter’s birthday cake and I thought it was so adorable!
