Penny Linn + Morgan Julia Designs Nantucket Weekend 2025

Penny Linn and Morgan Julia Designs are excited to welcome you to a fun weekend in Nantucket! We had so much fun the last two years that we had to do it again for a third year. Please note we are still firming up plans, but wanted to get our loose itinerary up for everyone.

Like years past, Morgan and I are keeping with more non-ticketed events, so the weekend is free to join when and where you can. We loved how easy it was (for everyone involved) to show up and hang out. So pack your bags and projects, and meet us in ACK.

EVENT DATES JULY 24-27, 2025

The weekend is free to join, and you can participate as little or as much as you want. Each day we’ll have different meet-ups or meals planned, and we’d love to have you join us for whatever you can make! Below is our schedule and top recommendations for things to do on the island when we’re not together.

We just ask that you please RSVP by buying this ticket here to reserve your spot.

Thursday July 24:

The majority of the day will be on your own. Great time to shop around town and grab some bites. Love provisions for lunch, and Nantucket Peddler (on the wharf) for sweatshirts/ACK swag.

We will meet at Erica Wilson for stitch night at 6 pm (until 7:30pm) They have 40 seats available so it will be first come, first serve. Last time a bunch of us stood and just hung out so don't worry if you can't make it right away.

Dinner will be on your own. Nantucket is notoriously hard to get reservations so go where you can find space! For grab-to-go I like Surfside and Walters. For dessert, you must get The Juice Bar!

Friday July 25:

We'll take the Wave out to Sconset around 9am from the bus terminal across from The Handlebar (a great coffee place).

Grab and go breakfast at Claudettes and then walk to the beach for stitching/hanging out! Will be here till about 3pm (bring something to sit on!)

We'll eat dinner at Millies at 5pm (have to get there early to get seats for a large group!). For those who want to take the Wave Bus out there, we will meet at The Whaling Museum around 4:30 to go to Millies.

After dinner, we'll walk to the beach and stitch/enjoy the sunset before heading back into town. For those still ready to mingle, we will do our annual Karaoke night at Rose and Crown. Easily the best part of our weekend!

Saturday July 26:

Saturday morning, breakfast will be on your own but try and go mid island to Island Kitchen if you can! It's one of my favorite places.

In the early afternoon, we'll head to Jetties beach (weather permitting) for some afternoon stitching and hanging out. We'll spend most of our day here. If the weather is bad, we'll have people over at our place in town for stitching inside.

In the early evening, we will have a Private Shopping event at Hill House on Main Street. They will offer 15% off purchases during our event from 5-6pm on Saturday.

Saturday dinner will be on your own, we can meet-up at The Juice Bar for dessert and then The Chicken Box after for a nightcap. So get ready to dance the night away!

Sunday July 27:

For anyone around on Sunday, we'll head out to Cisco Brewery, meeting at 12pm. Again, getting there when they open to secure seats/tables for us to stitch and hang out. You can Uber out there or take the free Cisco shuttle that picks up at the corner of Federal and East Chestnut Street (will run from 12pm to 5pm back and forth). Lots of food and drink options so come hungry!

For anyone who wants to join or is thinking they want to join, please purchase a free ticket HERE so we can keep track of who can join and for when.

If you want to come but need a place to stay, please email me at hello@pennylinndesigns.com and we can connect you with other stitchers wanting to do the same!

Some helpful tips:

  • If you have to wait for check-in, you can drop your bags at 5 Candle Street for $8.00 each piece for a Suitcase/Zipper Bag, $10.00 for a secure Small Tote, and $12.00 for a secure Large Tote.
  • If you are taking the Ferry, you can walk into town. If you are flying in, take the Nantucket Wave into town which is FREE again for 2025.
  • Bring a sweatshirt (or don't and buy one on island!) because the nights will get cold.
